In this eighth edition, the Week of Sustainable Development through many initiatives strive to explain how the French adopt an environmentally-SNYC in everyday life.
According to a survey of the FIFG (the French institute of public opinion) in May 2009 to 76% of the French state to take greater account of sustainable development. In general, the French really understand the stakes related to sustainable development and ajedrez pertecipano mass to individual actions in favor of the planet, saving energy and water, recycling of waste, consumption of organic products, etc..
This trend in behavior was determined by measures taken under the Environment Protection (Grenelle Environnement) as the bonus / penalty for buying a car is not polluting, eco-interest-free loan to finance the upgrading of the power houses, introduzuine of eco-labels in the retail and tourism.
again this year in the first week of April, companies, associations, public services, public institutions and schools all over France will organize a large number of events: educational sessions, visits, conferences, debates, film screenings, exhibitions, courses, etc..
In 2009 more than 4000 events were organized around the invitation to the presentation of individual projects within Week of sustainable development. This movement reflects a true awareness and dismostra a will to act.
