Journey in the World of the Inuit
Party for the East Greenland ItaliAmmassalik the first mission of the Project.
The mission aims to take stock of the situation in which people live Inuit Ammassalik today, and video camera to gather material.
Isertoq visit the village, isolated at the base of the polar cap; Tasiilaq, the economic center of the region, will cross in small boats along the fjord Sermiligaaq in local language: the beautiful fjord ice, will stop in Kulusuk, and will stop in few days Tinitequilaaq remote village, staying in a house specially Inuit provision, so as to come into contact with the locals.
to the knowledge of the socio-economic situation of these remote villages in the ice, and will work together with local initiatives to collaborate with economic development.
will make a visit to the U.S. military base Ikatek disposed of, and will examine the environmental destruction that has been created with the abandonment of thousands of cans of fuel, trucks and other military equipment left to rust.
then ascend the fjord Sermilik until his head, where he laid the immense glaciers of Midgardgletscher and Helheim glacier that is receding at an unusual speed, and visit the most distant areas of seal hunting and fishing.
